Material storage challenges in heavy snowfall
In winter 2017/18, Continental Construction, a luxury homebuilder headquartered in Naples, Florida, specialising in high-end residential properties in Florida and Montana, approached Njordair for assistance on a construction project in the mountains of Montana.
As a result, materials were frequently re-ordered unnecessarily, and additional labour was required each day to recover items from beneath snow drifts. This created inefficiencies in both cost and programme.
A practical solution was required to protect materials from snowfall while maintaining easy access and usability on site.
Rapid weather protection for storage and workshop use
Njordair manufactured a 17m x 13m (56′ x 43′) Constant Air system and delivered it via air freight to Montana. Two Njordair installers travelled to site to assist with the initial set-up.
Continental Construction split the tent into two halves, using each 8.5m (28′) section as a separate temporary structure for storing materials and equipment. The tent withstood significant snow loads from the very first night of installation.
Following the success of the first delivery, Continental ordered an additional tent to use as a fabrication shed and workshop.
The structure was configured as two separate enclosures, allowing the contractor to use one as a dedicated storage space and the other as a workshop area. This flexibility enabled efficient organisation of materials and improved workflow on site.
The system was delivered rapidly and deployed on site with support from Njordair, ensuring a smooth installation and immediate use.

The installation of the Njordair system eliminated the issue of materials being lost beneath snow, reducing unnecessary reordering and improving daily site efficiency.
By creating a protected and accessible working environment, the contractor was able to maintain productivity throughout the winter period. Following the success of the initial installation, an additional system was deployed to expand workshop capacity on site.
For construction projects exposed to harsh weather conditions, Njordair systems provide a reliable solution for protecting materials and maintaining operational continuity.
